Best DPS Warlock Pet in SoD

The best Warlock Warlock pet for theoretical DPS in Season of Discovery is the Succubus. But since the Succubus has to walk into melee range, there will be fights where the Imp is the better choice due to pathing issues. This is especially true for Baron Aquanis in Blackfathom Deeps.

So while Succubus is the most optimal pet in terms of theoretical DPS, top parsing players prefer the Imp right now. The Fire DPS Build above is optimized for the Imp. If you want to use the Succubus instead, you’d spec into Improved Lash of Pain Improved Lash of Pain instead of Improved Firebolt Improved Firebolt. Additionally, remove all points from Improved Imp Improved Imp and invest them into Devastation Devastation.

DPS Warlock Stat Priority

As a DPS Warlock Warlock you want to prioritize gear with the following stats:

  • Spell Hit Chance (up to 6% against enemies 2 levels above you like raid bosses in BFD)
  • Spell Critical Hit
  • Spell Damage = Fire Damage (or Shadow Damage depending on your build)
  • Intellect

    • After having 6% hit chance when fighting against bosses in Blackfathom Deeps, Spell Hit Chance loses its value and other stats become better. You’ll reach already 5% with Blackfathom Mana Oil Blackfathom Mana Oil and Boon of Blackfathom Boon of Blackfathom.
