MD church closes doors after pastor admits to paying hush money to settle harassment allegatio
The Archdiocese of Baltimore will close one of the city’s Catholic churches after its longtime pastor was recently suspended from ministry because he admitted to making a payment several years ago to settle sexual harassment allegations.
Last month, Father Paschal Morlino was dismissed from his position at St. Benedict Church in southwest Baltimore, where he served for nearly 40 years and became known for his efforts to help residents of poor neighborhoods surrounding the church.

One person dead after Moscow house fire
MOSCOW, Idaho (KBOI) — One person is dead after a house fire on Tuesday in Moscow.
The city says firefighters were called out to a home on the 1000 block of Camas Street Tuesday and saw heavy smoke coming from the home. Firefighters later found a woman in the living room on the couch with suspected smoke inhalation. She was taken to Gritman Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
